Thunderstorm/Lightning Safety Policy

Games will remain on schedule unless notified in advance of cancellation. The referee at the field will make the final decision as to the status of the game. The club will try to use this site, or send a message via email to alert teams of field closures, but please be prepared to play the games.

IF LIGHTNING IS SEEN during soccer practice or a soccer game, everyone should seek shelter in a vehicle such as a car, truck or a van with the windows completely shut for fifteen minutes. Referees will monitor conditions during this time. The fifteen-minute watch is to be restarted with every newly occurring lightning strike.

The Referee will decide if a game should be cancelled.

IF THUNDER IS HEARD, play will continue with referees and coaches on alert for possible lightning.
