its own method of distributing responsibilities. The list is not all
inclusive.
Coaches should be responsible for:
Team selection - tryouts
Risk Management card
Conducting practice sessions
Coaching the games
Tournament selection
Practice equipment
First Aid kit
Corner flags
Game balls (2)
Communication with assistant coach & manager(s)
Communication with team
Managers should be responsible for:
Registration materials – completed and submitted on time
Risk Management card
Uniforms – orders and distribution
Game schedule - distribution
Field maps/directions to games
Referees fee payments
Coaching fees – preferably upfront and midseason split
Tournament fees – if necessary
Player passcards
Communication with coaches
Communication with parents for tournaments, games and practices
Conduct of parents
Facility rentals
Refreshments – team decision
Parents should be responsible for:
Practice ball - per player
Proper soccer equipment
Good sporting behavior
Water or sports drink for practice and games
Player transportation to practices and games
Notifying coach/manager of absences from games/practices
Confirming information that pertains to the games/practices
Providing encouragement and support necessary for team success
