MARCH 2008
LETTER TO ANN ARBOR UNITED FAMILIES
Ann Arbor United is having another very good year in terms of player development and providing opportunities for our boys and girls. Many of our teams ended the fall season in first or second place in their respective leagues.
We added new teams and many new players through last year's tryouts and expect continued growth as we provide unmatched playing opportunities for the boys and girls in our community. One of our objectives is to grow responsibly within our capability to support teams.

MARCH SMALL SIDED GAMES
On March 8, the club hosted the first of four weeks of small sided games at St Paul Lutheran School. The first session was quite well attended. The remaining sessions will be
March 22
and
March 29
and are open to all players. The age group time blocks are as follows:
U10 and younger ~ 3 - 4 pm
U11-U12 ~ 4 - 5:30 pm
U13 and older ~
5:30
- 7:00 pm
Coaching staff will be on site primarily to maintain a safe environment. This will be an opportunity for players to play and learn from what they have seen on TV or in practices.
OLYMPIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
The Michigan US Youth Soccer ODP, in conjunction with the United States Olympic Development Program, is available to all Michigan Youth. Our goal is to have our coaching directors identify players who are capable of playing at the ODP level.
It is designed to support youth needs at the advanced skill level and stresses player identification and development to their highest potential. ODP players have many benefits and opportunities available to them, in addition to exposure of top level coaching and training.
SUPPLEMENTAL TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES
The club will be offering supplemental training opportunities for all players during the spring season at the EMU Intramural Softball fields in Ypsilanti and Concordia in Ann Arbor. These sessions will focus primarily on improving individual skills.
The premier level or select level teams playing on the full sized fields will train on Wednesdays.
All other age groups will train on Fridays. Goalkeeper training will be offered during the Friday sessions. Training topics will vary from week to week.
These sessions will also offer our directors of coaching (Dan Dalzochio and Donovan Bowerbank) the opportunity to identify players who would be ODP eligible. The directors of coaching are implementing new ideas to upgrade the Premier Program and will be looking for Division 1 level players and teams at tryouts. Stay tuned for more information.
NEW COACHING ADDITION
Debbie Rademacher, former U of M women's soccer head coach, has joined our staff. She will be involved with the supplemental training during the Spring and Fall as well as the summer camps.
Welcome Debbie!
FREE TRAINING AT VELOCITY SPORTS
For teams who missed the opportunity during the Fall, Velocity Sports will be offering a free agility training session during the Spring. The Club will receive $100 towards its scholarship fund.
