Clinics

Outdoor Clinics

There are two types of clinics offered by the Ann Arbor United Soccer Club during the fall and spring seasons.

The Open clinics are offered twice per week during the season at the club’s practice field. These clinics are geared toward improving the individual skills of a player with a greater understanding of how it impacts his/her progress, as well as the progress of a team. These clinics are available to any member of the club. Some of the key areas of focus include: passing, dribbling, shooting, and receiving. Players, coaches and parents have all seen the improvement as a result of attending these clinics.

For information on the open clinics during the spring and fall seasons, please visit the e-Calendar.

The Team clinics are offered twice per season to all of the club teams and are offered at the team’s practice site. These clinics are geared towards improving team support and strategy. Areas of focus include: ball possession, transition play, using the width and depth of field, and set plays. The Ann Arbor United coaching staff will work closely with the team officials to accomplish their desired goals. Players and coaches both enjoy the opportunity to learn new ideas from these sessions.

To request a team clinic during the season, please contact Van Cowan at: info@annarborunited.net.

Clinics offered during the fall and spring seasons are covered by the players’ registration fees.

Indoor Clinics

Instructional sessions are offered once a week during the winter for one hour and are available to boys and girls from 4 to 13 years old. These sessions are generally 10 weeks long and begin in January. Instructors work on topics such as: receiving, passing, shooting, dribbling, attacking, defending and goalkeeping.

Fees for the current club players are subsidized through their registration fees for the year.

Players outside of the club who are interested in the indoor clinics will need to complete a Player Registration form and a Medical Release form. Checks should be made payable to ‘Ann Arbor United Soccer Club’. For registration or more information, contact us at: info@annarborunited.net or 734-97-KICKS (734-975-4257).
